LCD-Death writes " I'm sure after yesterdays news that there's people out there looking for me to explain to them what happened and why, the sad thing is I have even less of an idea than most of you guys, one minute we're laughing and joking in TS, I say goodnight and the next day I wake up to all the posts and clan members changing tags. One thing that is clear is that Logan has had more than enough of LCD and so wanted to go and do something else, he talked about maybe teaming up with Assault Crew and doing some fun stuff there, there's no question that Logan will make it work and AFF sounds like a fun place to be, I also notice Cujo is back with him and so some sort of stability in the new AFF clan looks possible.
So where does this leave LCD and its remaining members? Well after sorting out a new server and TS we're back in business, all key members are in place, myself and Blitz will make sure that LCD is around for a long time to come, out of the three founders you'll have noticed that my word is my bond, I've never threatened to leave at any point, I've never forced a server issue and I've always done my best to keep things sweet between members, I see no reason to change this way of thinking, I promise everyone that reads this I will be the last person to leave LCD and nothing could be further from my mind, there seems far too much to walk away from, the people I've met, the friends I've made, the site and contents and our reputation is so established that in my mind it would be a waste of two years just to walk away.
At some point today the server modules will change over to LCD's servers and TS, we currently have two 20 man servers with the usual Tatandy map etc and all looks the same which is the way we intend to keep it, same rules, same tags same server setup the only real change we'll be making is to make sure that all LCD members have remote access and the chance to express them selves in what ever manner they choose to, all I want is for everyone, that's AFF or LCD to be happy and content with their choice of gaming paths, me Blitz, Blakey, Inde and a few others are working very hard to make sure this is what happens and as I write this now everything looks sorted and in place, all that's missing is a few clan members which in time we will replace I'm sure.
We would never push any of the friends we've made away, all AFF are more than welcome on our servers etc and the forums would look very dull if everyone just went and killed their account, so they should all be made to feel very welcome, I spoke to Cujo over the telephone last night and he sounds as friendly as ever and we were all cool there as well, I did speak to logan in TS yesterday afternoon but I wasn't getting any clear answers and it didn't sound like it was anything that I could sort out or mediate over, you've all read his posts by now and we're no wiser than you, it's all academic at this point, all we can do is stay in touch with people I know I'll miss talking to, anytime they feel like a chat on LCD TS they can use the front page to access it and wouldn't be subjected to any questioning, me and Blitz have only ever wanted to have a laugh and some fun, and that's exactly what we we're doing last night, I wouldn't have thought it possible after the day I'd had trying to understand what was going on etc I came on the PC at my usual time but had no where to go, it was hard to see my friends on the TS and server playing and not feel welcome but an hour after that things were sorted and we spent the rest of the night getting drunk and having a laugh as usual, by the time a couple of other members came back it was just like old times.
This isn't a war, there are no sides to take, I understand a lot of members will want to go AFF and we wish them all the luck in the world, but the friends we've made should look further than the three letters in front of their name and stay in touch, the forums are a good place to do that, even more so in the very near future as we have a Shoutcast server in place for the LCD Radio now and the new LCD magazine about to make it's debut, so there's plenty to come.
Well I hope I've made things a little clearer for you now, LCD is stronger than ever and we still have a good core of members all in touch and doing their bit to make LCD the clan to be in, I'm off to make some posts now and hope that no one feels obliged to be in one place or the other, thanks for reading, I did try and keep it short lol but you know me when I start typing, be sure to call in for a joint and beer and a couple of my MI8 cocktails some time
